Die be2 Partnervermittlungs-IT
Das Rückgrat einer Online-Partnervermittlung, wie auch jedes anderen Online-Business, ist eine gute IT. Bei be2 haben wir das Glück, schon seit Jahren mit einem zuverlässigen IT-Team zusammen zu arbeiten, das jedes Problemchen sofort behebt und dafür sorgt, dass die Partnervermittlung reibungslos läuft.
Die IT-Profis sitzen zwar in Armenien, aber das tut der guten Zusammenarbeit keinen Abbruch. Die Financial Times Deutschland hat dem “IT-Partner der Online-Partneragentur Be2″ (*räusper* FTD-Schlussredaktion: be2 schreibt man be2) sogar einen Artikel gewidmet.
In der Praxis sieht das dann so aus, wie letzte Woche in der Email von Garik aus Armenien:
Morning
First of all in the morning we observed that the updates worked and tested fine on 2 machines, but were quite slow on the others. We corrected approach and during the morning and afternoon preparing the servers accordingly. This didn’t affect our users.Afternoon
At about 15:00 CET we have prepared the servers with the new security resolution and started doing the hotfix.
For some time it worked fine, but then starts working quite slow.Problem & Resolution
The investigation showed that the problems occurred because of conflict between load balancer and new module. As a result about 30 percent users had difficulties with the access to the product (very slow responsiveness).
With Data Center specialists we could resolve this. It took longer, as basically there were 2 problems, and first one was overlaying the second one, which made difficult analyzing the core problem. The first problem with FE pool was quite unexpected as the other pool with the same modules worked fine.
Second problem became visible only during high traffic via load balancer.Current status
Now the site is working and performing good. We will keep our eyes on it tomorrow and on Friday.
Für mich hätte das ganze auch Armenisch sein können und ich hätte genauso viel verstanden, aber es ist doch gut zu wissen, dass in Yerevan jemand sitzt, der, sagen wir mal, ein bisschen mehr Ahnung von IT hat als ich. Wenn’s an mir läge, würde unsere Partneragentur wahrscheinlich noch aus handgeschriebenen Papierzetteln bestehen: “Der X findet Dich gut, willst Du mit ihm gehen?” “Die Y will was von Dir!” etc.
